Wasp Catchers

Waspcatcher_4 It's not only midges that can spoil an alfresco meal here in Scotland it's wasps too.   It seems like every time you sit down to enjoy a meal outdoors they start to act like they're the main guests.

They're annoying (and I'm frightened of them) so I usually end up packing up and taking everything back inside to finish the meal.

I've toyed with the idea of buying a gazebo with netting sides but I don't like the idea of sitting in a tent to eat as it kinda spoils the whole alfresco feel of things.  So I've found these wasp catchers.  One is an organic wasp trap and the other is from the 1940's and 50's and is made from hand blown glass.  Here's hoping they'll solve the problem.
