A china teacup always makes me think of my Gran. She only ever enjoyed her tea from a china cup and I know when she visited she always appreciated that I kept a china cup ready for her. Teacups seem to inspire designers and not just for tea. You can sit on them, sit in them, drink from them and now thanks to Trish Andersen and Maureen Walsh of Domestic Construction they can give you light. These pretty vintage ceramic or porcelain teacups , which are called ted lights, can be used on their own or can be bunched up like a chandelier. They're adorable but I'm not sure my Gran would approve!
