To hang with Keep Calm and Carry On, this is a much better option for me.
I love this ready to hang burgundy stretch canvas print.
Keep Calm and Drink Wine, yeah that's for me.
There's something so right about it being burgunday too!

On my search for a wall clock/wall art for my kitchen I came across this retro looking Nextime Disco Clock. Unfortunately because this disco ball clock is quite substantial at 43cm across it just won't fit in the space in my kitchen. However, this glitzy mirror ball clock with it's pointy black hands would look fabulous in my hallway and it won't get greasy with all that cooking up a storm stuff that I'm threatening to do. This shiny clock adds a wee bit of glamour without looking tacky. I love it.

I've never really found the need for a clock in my kitchen because the cooker has a clock and so too does the microwave. However lately I've been cooking up a storm and sometimes both appliances have been in use at the same time and I've thought that maybe I should have one. Also I'd been looking through the Dwell catalogue and I've found a clock that I really like. Okay so that's the real reason. You didn't really think I had been cooking up a storm did you? I love this clock which is descriptively called a Clockwork Orange, not to be confused with a chocolate orange! It's made from plastic and has a moving pendulum. I love the simplicity and the whole wall art look to this fab clock. So maybe the whole cooking up a storm thing could happen if I had this Clockwork Orange wall clock. Teehee.

What dog owner could resist buying this quirky heart shaped doggy bed for their furry friend?
It's a cute bed, there's no denying that, and that red stripped cushion has a certain jaunty look to it but... is it a bit naff?
I do love my little dog but is a heart shaped bed a shape too far?
Heart shaped doggy bed, yay or nay?

I love the look of this Guzzini love table napkin holder. I have a few red accessories, and red paper napkins in my kitchen already and this heart shaped napkin holder would fit in very nicely.
I'd have it on display on the kitchen counter and transfer it to the table when needed. There would be no stowing in the cupboard for this bright accessory.
This serviette holder would make a lovely hostess gift and could be the start of a great Guzzini heart shaped love affair.

Can you remember when we were told that doillies were no longer going to be made? When the announcement made the news a "Use them or lose them" campaign started and thank goodness doillies were reprieved. So it's thanks to that campaign that we get the chance to show how refined we are with these pretty pink heart shaped doillies . We can use them not just for Valentine's day but for any dinner party, barbecue or even the morning toast and jam. It's those subtle touches that can make tea for two or a big event special, and at £6 for a set of 72 you can't go wrong.

Every time I try and brighten up the livingroom I end up buying new cushions. It's a quick and relatively inexpensive way to change the look and brighten things up, but the husband is convincied I've now got more cushions than Ikea! Also he's fed up going up into the attic to either put cushions away or bring old cushions back down. So when I saw these bonaldo voila (sounds like a football player) plastic coffee tables I immediately started thinking that this could be a good way to brighten up the lounge. They're a great size, have quirky legs and come in some great colours. Unfortunatley they're a lot more expensive than a whole load of cushions at £387. So you won't be surprised to hear that the husband said he'd take me shopping for new cushions at the weekend. We'll see!
When I first saw this trio of storage tins they brought back some happy memories. We had a few storage tins very similar to this when I was small. Our tins were kept in the pantry out of sight but I definitely think that these pretty tins should be on display.
You don't need to use these vintage looking storage tins just for dry goods. They'd be useful too as a button box or to keep sewing thread or pins safe.
As for my happy memories, well... that's where the chocolate biscuits were kept.
May I present to you the Extraordinary Hook.
It's just as it says on the tin, a hook with a generous coat bar and a graceful, sculptural profile.
Extraordinary.
Note to the husband:
No, a coathanger hanging from a hook will not look the same!
This winter seems so long that I almost wish I could hibernate. Easier said than done, although if I had this fabulous Col-Letto bed by Lago I think I could fool myself into thinking hibernation was a possibility every night. The bed with its ring of soft foam looks like a big nest and if you keep the sides up you can snooze unseen. The mattress and bedding are all kept neat inside the soft foam collar but should you feel that you'd like a change then the collar can be rolled down in parts to suit yourself. You can even create a headboard with it. I fancy it would be like being in your own little cocoon. If you'd like one then it's on sale at Livingspace. I love it.
