It's been reported that tomorrow at least 1 billion people will be tuning in to watch the Royal Wedding. It's amazing to think that all of those people will remember where they were, what they were doing and who they were with for the rest of their lives.
What if it rains? Well that's when that famed British bulldog spirit will kick in and we'll just get on with enjoying ourselves as if the sun were shining. No problem we're British.
If you want you could show that British bulldog spirit with this fab bulldog stone garden statue. He's weather resistant, hard wearing and stylish... very British!
You can buy him here and hopefully he'll last as long as your memories.

This week we not only have the Royal Wedding to look forward to we have the final of Master Chef too! In this house both events are important.
If you think of the Royal Wedding the first souvenir that comes to mind is the humble tea towel. We seem to go mad for them and there are loads of great designs out there to choose from. The Royal Wedding has been well catered for in the tea towel front though, while the final of Master Chef seems to have been overlooked!
However, here's a tea towel that for me, combines both events beautifully . This First Class Chef tea towel certainly is more regal than humble and I love it.

The flowing shapes and beautifully decorated porcelain of these pots make them truly eye catching.
They're called Happiness pots and according to Chinese tradition newlyweds are sure to receive two as wedding gifts.
I think it's a lovely tradition and one that I may copy for a wedding I've been invited to at the end of May.
Do you think Kate and William will receive any Happiness pots?

These colourful mixing bowls would make a great engagement or wedding present.
Made from earthenware they're microwave and dishwasher safe and look good enough to be used as serving dishes as well as mixing bowls.
I love their retro shape and the fact that they can be easily stored to save space. They're so nice I don't think I can wait for that wedding invitation but if you're looking for a present then you can buy them at the Conran Shop.

When I was small my brother and I had little enamel plates that we used for breakfast cereal. They were unbreakable and lasted for years. In fact I grew so fond of mine that I still have it today and use it as a water bowl for the dog.
The fact is enamelware kinda got overtaken with plastic and that's why I was so pleased to see these pretty flowered plates.
These lovely plates would be perfect for the patio, picnics or just as serving dishes. You can use them for years before they're ready to hold the dog's water! They're certainly a lot more colourful than the plates my brother and I used to have but I bet they last just as long.
If you fancy owning some pretty enamelware that your kids will treasure then you can buy these plates at Viva Terra. Lovely!

Hard to believe it but we're on our second consecutive day of warm, sunny weather here. It's so enjoyable to wake up with the sun streaming through the bedroom window.
So looking around the bedroom this morning I thought it could do with an injection of colour. It's decorated in neutral tones so any colour that's added into the mix works well.
I love these fabulous sunset orange and yellow cushions from Heals. They're made from silk and filled with feathers which adds a little touch of luxury and the beautiful toning shades of sunset orange and yellow add a welcome splash of colour.
Keep it very quiet but it looks like Spring has sprung where I live. It's sunny and warm and there's colour everywhere you look, from the blossom on the trees to the flowers slowly emerging into the sunshine. It's a lovely time of year with the promise of sunny days to come.
No surprise then that this fabulous yellow Dartington crystal flower vase caught my eye. It's modern shape, clematis flower motif and the jewel like colour makes me feel good and I can already see it catching the light and sunshine on my kitchen windowsill.
Beautiful don't you think?

I've never been a big fan of all the commemorative memorabilia that surrounds Royal occasions. I can't help but think it's all expensive tat.
The other day however I came across this "Love Is In The Heir" limited edition tea towel and I must admit I really like it.
Because I already have red accents in my kitchen I think I'd go for the tea towel with the red background, but then again the blue with the red crown insert wouldn't look out of place either.
Decisions, decisions! Whilst I make mine you can choose your favourite over at Hunkydory Home.
