Mocha Brown Sparkly Fantasy Christmas Tree

I was looking for a brown pre lit Christmas tree when I came across this 6' pre lit mocha brown sparkling fantasy Christmas Tree.  Quite a mouthful eh? 

This wasn't quite what I had in mind. 

I had in mind something more lush, something more tree like, something fuller but then again this quirky tree started to remind me  of the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree.  Kind of pathetic but strangly lovely at the same time! 

Before I knew it I found myself showing it to the husband and asking what he thought of it.  He said he's not sure but this wacky tree has really started to grow on me (no, not literally!).

Are you a traditionalist, or would you pick this wacky tree?

Pop Up Christmas Tree in a Box

This Tree in a Box is the "must have" Christmas tree this year.  

You'll be able to stand back and admire the baubles, tinsel and  200 twinkly lights in the time it takes you to pour a glass of wine!   

It's cone shaped and comes in silver, gold, green, black and white, so there's something to fit in with any colour scheme. 

The box it comes in is pizza shaped so it's easy and quick to take down and store come twelfth night.  

This pop up tree  has proved to be very popular so if you fancy it,  then you'd better get a move on as it's selling out fast!

Fly Candle Fly for a magical Christmas table.

If you're looking for a table centre that's unusual and quite magical this Christmas how about this Fly candle Fly suspended candle by Ingo Maurer. 

I adore how inventive and magical his work can be by taking something ordinary and creating something quite extraordinary. 

These wax candles suspended on a wire with a drip tray look as if they should be at Hogwarts. One on its own suspended over the Christmas table would look really cool but a group of three would really make an impact.

 They're a bit pricey but worth it for a magical, mystical Christmas table.  I'd  love a whole bunch of them!

Mini Temple Bells

Made from rustic brass plated steel these mini temple bells look great together as a group or they're just as nice hung separately. 

They'd look great grouped with some greenery and suspended by a ribbon for a festive look.  Or, you could suspend each bell from a Christmas tree branch with a shimmery ribbon tied in a bow. 

Just use your imagination and these 6 mini temple bells will last all year.

I'd use them grouped together near a door like wind chimes.  Any other ideas?

Contemporary Christmas Tree from Habitat

I  love , love, love this fabulous contemporary Christmas tree from Habitat.   

If you're looking or something that's not fussy and a little bit different then look no further. 

This fabulous tree made of plastic and copper won't take up a lot of room and has that timeless look to it that means that you'll still love its simplistic syling years from now.

Iron Christmas Tree

Object of desire alert!   

I'm seeing a lot of really cool Christmas trees this year but I must say I think that this one is truly gorgeous. 

In my opinion this iron tree needs absolutely no adornment and looks great just the way it is. 

This lovely tree has a distressed look and a soft sheen that makes it glow.

All this combined makes it look like it's been part of the family and loved for years and years.

It's 62" tall and 21" in diameter so it'll fit in anywhere.  Yep, this gorgeous iron tree has it all. 

What do you think, is it worthy of being an object of desire?

Deep Red Lit LED Wreath & Garland - Matches Rudolph's nose!

Rudolph red is the colour I'd use to describe this fabulous lit LED wreath.  With deep red blossom and berries it looks very festive especially when it sparkles with the LED lights.  The best thing of all though is the fact that it's battery operated so there's no horrible cables trailing.  You can hang this wreath on the wall or it would look great on a table surrounding a group of candles. Crystal Light Garland

This delicate looking crystal light garland is so versatile as well as being very pretty. 

It has a hook at either end so you could make it into a crystal wreath, or,  you could drape it elegantly along a mantle or over a doorframe.

Personally I think I would put the crystal light garland around a mirror.

When lit the pin lights and crystal beads bounce off the mirror and the effect is quite quite stunning!  How do I know this?  I tried it last year and it was lovely. Also it looked great switched off too!

Peace Wreath

On April 4th this year the peace symbol turned 50 years old. Imagine. 

Created by Gerald Holtom a British graphic designer the symbol made its first appearance in 1958 at a ban the bomb demonstration in Britain.

Recognised all over the world the peace symbol has been on every kind of merchadise you care to mention but at this time of year this peace wreath is particularly appropriate. 

I love this peace wreath and think I would do as suggested and add loads of white mini lights.

It would remind me of a particular photograph showing a human peace symbol formed by more than four  thousand people with torches at Heroes' Square in Budapest. 

We all bought the badges isn't it about time we all bought into the concept?

Imagine all the people living life in peace.

      

Goose Feather Garland and Goose Feather Bauble

This whole feathery home decor craze really seems to have taken off  this year and the list of feathery items is getting longer.  When I say list I mean the peacock feather wreath and the guinea feather placemats.  Okay there's only actually two feathery items on "The List" but "The List" is about to grow!  Have a look here at the feathery Christmas items I found in Habitat.  First up is the Goose feather garland which is called Marabou and is available in either white or plum.  Also available in the same colours are these goose feather baubles which have the less exotic name of, eh, Goose.  If you find any other feathery Christmas decorations let me know and I'll add them to "The List".

Also if you see any partly bald slightly receding geese on your travels then you might want to show them a little love because this aint a good time of year to be a bird!
